Capturing Emotion
Liz started taking photographs as soon as she could walk, she saved to buy her first ‘real’ camera aged 9 and chose her secondary school because they offered photography as a course aged 11. Taking GCSE and starting her A Level in photography refined her skill and allowed her to explore the different elements within the discipline.
Her passion is capturing emotion, whether through portraiture, reportage, theatre, fashion or more. Liz loves having the ability to immortalise moments for all to see, believing that the true magic of photography is what it makes people feel.
Liz takes pride in trying to make each image or shoot entirely different to the last. Her rare sarcoma (Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour) means that her life will be very short, so the spontaneity that photography allows her is incredibly important. Every time she picks up her camera and focuses on new and exciting shoots it helps to distract her from the constant pain that she feels every second of every day. When taking photographs, the rest of the world doesn’t seem to matter as much.
Liz is open to all new photography projects and would love to hear from you if you have one in mind.
